  • Hi there!

Hi, I'm Misty and this is my photoblog. Photography has always been a passion of mine since I could hold up a camera. So I'm always eager to learn new things and keep shooting. I do photography of all kinds but on location is my specialty. I love capturing real moments shared by people. I'm a Canon girl so all my equipment is Canon. As well as my photography I'm happily married to my highschool sweetheart who is a United States Marine and we have a beautiful little girl, an adorable little boy and 4 furbabies. If you have any questions or want to book a shoot feel free to contact me through the link above. I try to make all my shoots fun for everyone to capture the little moments and what your life is like in that moment so you can look back and treasure it for years to come. This blog will contain all my latest work and updates so bookmark or follow it to keep up with all the new things. If you're looking for some of my older work you can find it on my old blog. photocredit: Kathleen Amelia

Keeley is (almost) Three . South Central Va Childrens photographer

So I had a lot of ideas for Keeley’s photos but I never could pin one down to do so I thought lets just let her have fun. Well she wasn’t really into having her photos taken at all that day and was constantly telling me “no more photos mommy, put down the camera” so it wasn’t a great photo day but I think she still had a lot of fun running around playing and getting pulled in the wagon. I cannot believe my baby girl will be 3 so soon, it feels like yesterday she was born:(they grow up way too fast!!

Also some of these are edited with my friend Katie’s new action set, if you like what you see head over and check out Katie’s page on how to get her actions!!

Here are a couple of my favorites from the day<3

One Frame Friday . South Central Va Childrens photographer

gretna va childrens photographer

I’m totally jacking this post name from my friend Katie and her Rally Point blog, but I couldn’t help it, it was perfect for this. Jax is starting to pull up on everything and wanting you to hold his hands so he can walk. The other day he pulled up on my pant legs and gave me this look like “man mom this is hard work” I wish I could slow down time I feel like both kids are growing up way too fast.

Hearts, Kisses & Teething . South Central Va lifestyle photographer

Yesterday the kids and I had a picture taking day. I had to do Jax’s monthly photo so while I had the board out I set up a little Valentines Day decoration to do a quick shoot of the kids. Before any of that started though Keeley asked me to take photos while they were watching a movie in their room. which when Keeley asks to be photographed you don’t ask why you just do it because that is a rare thing. I was thinking about this while editing, whoever said when you have as second kids you take less photos of them and so on is clearly wrong, if anything now I take more photos of Jax since he can’t get away from me as fast as Keeley haha. For the Valentines photos Keeley picked out her clothes, she wanted a kitty shirt and pants not a skirt and she actually wore a headband for them for me which was nice. It seems that the hard headbands are something she’ll actually wear so I think I’m going to convert her elastic headbands to hard ones so she’ll actually wear them. I put Jax in his shirt vest and tie because it’s super cute. Jax is teething now he’s cutting teeth 5 & 6 and he isn’t too happy about it, he’s found that the crib rail makes a great teether. Also on a side note we’re going to lower his crib today, the pulling up on the side is a new trick he just learned much to my sadness:(I hate lowering the cribs it’s something about them at that height that I love. The kids upcycled own hats are from Freckletree and Keeley’s grey striped hat and Jax’s skull hat are from Get Your Craft On SHOP. I’m going to have a hard time making the kids yearly albums at this rate, but I’m happy I can capture all the memories I can even if I have a million photos albums to go with it:)

all of this happened in a span of about 2 minutes

I couldn’t get one of both of them looking sadly:(

Keeley didn’t like that Jax was getting the attention of the scale photo and wanted to play with the scale which she calls a clock so here is an outtake from the above photo to show her pouting and the precaution we used so Jax stayed on the scale:)

I am sooo happy that he still fits in his swing that thing is magic sometimes when he doesn’t want to sleep like the other early morning.
