  • Hi there!

Hi, I'm Misty and this is my photoblog. Photography has always been a passion of mine since I could hold up a camera. So I'm always eager to learn new things and keep shooting. I do photography of all kinds but on location is my specialty. I love capturing real moments shared by people. I'm a Canon girl so all my equipment is Canon. As well as my photography I'm a single mommy to two amazing kiddos and 4 furbabies. If you have any questions or want to book a shoot feel free to contact me through the link above. I try to make all my shoots fun for everyone to capture the little moments and what your life is like in that moment so you can look back and treasure it for years to come. This blog will contain all my latest work and updates so bookmark or follow it to keep up with all the new things. If you're looking for some of my older work you can find it on my old blog. photocredit: Kathleen Amelia

Here’s a couple from today

We shot Keeley’s 4th birthday photos today, she turns 4 on Friday and I want to cry:(

There are a couple of sneaks of Keeley in this but I wanted to share a couple of Jax I caught and the ones of the kids and I my best friend Stacey caught for me:)

I’ll have Keeley’s 4 year post up sometime this week so keep a look out for that

I love that he is all boy dirty face and all:)

Get in front of the lens . Personal

So one of my new years resolutions is to start to get in front of the camera more, it’s depressing to look back at the tons of photo albums I have and see how little I’ve actually been in front of the camera these past couple of years, but I want to change that, I want my kids to have photos of not just them, but them with me and their dad. Not just out usual Christmas photos either, just everyday we’re out having fun photos. I’m super lucky to have some super talented friends. Katie has been capturing my families photos since I was pregnant with Jax, and even though we now live on opposite sides of the country we’re still finding ways to meet up and get photos of each other:PIf you saw my last post you saw where I photographed her family, well she was super sweet enough to grab some of me and the kids, although Keeley was more into playing with Ally than taking photos with mom that was ok:)we had fun and I’m slowly starting to learn there’s no point in stressing out about kids acting a certain way in photos, it’s more fun when they are themselves….

Shannon came and took some photos of us for Christmas along with

Emily both are local Va photogs and I love having them as friends and that they get my crazy ideas:)I told them so I think I’m going to put the canoe in the field and try to make it seem like water… does that make sense, and they went for it:)

So if you’re thinking about having photos done, don’t think go do it! it’s so much fun to have, especially with your kids, to capture the little moments, it’s so worth it!

I can’t wait to share more with you all as the months go by!

<3

(by the way all the quilts in the photos in this post I’ve made:)I’m pretty proud of them, I’m not sure what the kids are going to do with all the quilts I’m making them but I really hope they keep them and hand them down to their kids:))

Kelly @ View Along the Way - Your family is so beautiful! I was about to ask if you happen to be near Atlanta because we are in the market for a photographer, but now I see that you’re not. Bummer! You are super talented!

I love love love this family!!! Katie is an amazing talented photographer who has photographed my family and I a lot and I’ve been lucky enough to photograph her family a couple of times and it’s always a blast. I’m so lucky to call them my friends <3 Also Keeley and Ally are best buddies so any time we can get them together since we both moved from SC is always a plus. When Katie told me her and Ally were flying to NC to see Jimmy before he deployed (boo deployments!!) I knew we had to get together and do some photos, so we met in Raleigh and had a blast! Here are some of my favorites of their family photos (Keeley was upset she didn’t get to be in there family photos, it was the cutest thing ever)

Seriously I die over this photo!!!
