  • Hi there!

Hi, I'm Misty and this is my photoblog. Photography has always been a passion of mine since I could hold up a camera. So I'm always eager to learn new things and keep shooting. I do photography of all kinds but on location is my specialty. I love capturing real moments shared by people. I'm a Canon girl so all my equipment is Canon. As well as my photography I'm a single mommy to two amazing kiddos and 4 furbabies. If you have any questions or want to book a shoot feel free to contact me through the link above. I try to make all my shoots fun for everyone to capture the little moments and what your life is like in that moment so you can look back and treasure it for years to come. This blog will contain all my latest work and updates so bookmark or follow it to keep up with all the new things. If you're looking for some of my older work you can find it on my old blog. photocredit: Kathleen Amelia

Jennifer . portraits . Beaufort Sc

Remember Jennifer from the blog below? I had been wanting to do a more bridalish shoot with a couple of the new headbands I made for my etsy store and Jennifer volunteered to get up early in the morning and hike around in the woods with me to get some new photos. It was defiantly worth getting up early for the lighting we go and to beat the South Carolina heat and humidity because Jennifer looks like a Greek goddess in these photos! Jennifer thanks again for modeling for me! I had a blast!!

Jessica - you're RIGHT, she does look like a Goddess!! great job as per usual!!

Has it been that long . personal

since I last blogged, I’ve been slacking. I’m working on 3 session to get edited and blogged right now as well as catching up on Esty orders. I have a list of new things to sew once I catch up as well as having an awesome wedding this week to photograph and my trip to Va coming up in July which is going to be non stop photographing fun!
My parents came in this past weekend and I got my dad to snap this of our little family (minus the cats, they don’t take to the sit outside very well) It’s something I’ve been wanting for a while but never did it and I can’t wait to get it blown up on canvas

:)This is actually two photos put together because in the original Vader was looking off to the side so I took him out of another photo where he was sitting pretty and put it into this one where Keeley is looking forward and while Osceola is looking off to the side he’s still sitting pretty (he’s such a ham for the camera)

And I figured I could leave you with a teaser of Jennifer and Chris’s session

The Thompson’s . family

I have to say I’m very glad that Ashley loves me after I made her walk around downtown for about 2 hours in the hot humid South Carolina weather in heels, but I think she agrees it was worth it, right Ashley?

:)I love this family, I met Ashley and Eric when we first moved down here to Beaufort, Ashley was one of the first people to come by and see Keeley when we were in the hospital and at that time little Miss J was in her belly baking away. You might remember Miss J from her newborn shoot last year, well now she’s growing up and crawling everywhere and as adorable as ever!
Guys thanks for letting me capture these memories for ya’ll! I hope you like them as much as I do!

Remember . my life

Remember the real reason for Memorial Day.
Not all heroes come home.

During my husbands third deployment his battery suffered the loss of three amazing Marines and an awesome Corpsman. If you’d like to read about them you can here. I never met any of them but I know they were brave guys. Another Marine was injured that day, someone I did know, and I’m thankful for his sacrifice and I admire his family in all that they do. You can read about Sam and all that he has been to here.
This Memorial Day while you’re BBQing and such take a minute to think of the ones that didn’t come home and their families because this day is about them and the rest of our Veterans.
