    Hi, I'm Misty and this is my photoblog. Photography has always been a passion of mine since I could hold up a camera. So I'm always eager to learn new things and keep shooting. I do photography of all kinds but on location is my specialty. I love capturing real moments shared by people. I'm a Canon girl so all my equipment is Canon. As well as my photography I'm a single mommy to two amazing kiddos and 4 furbabies. If you have any questions or want to book a shoot feel free to contact me through the link above. It’s been a while hasn’t it?

These past couple of months haven’t been the greatest ever, I’ve really started to re evaluate a lot of things in my life so internet time has taken a backseat to spending time with my kids and such. I haven’t been shooting clients just my favorite subjects (the kiddos) and you know what I’m extremely happy about that. I have some client sessions coming up that I’m excited about but I’m no longer stressing about being this super fancy famous photographer, and I’m much happier for it. I love photography but the way I was going was really burning me out as well as a lot of things in my life. I’m shooting a lot more film (and having tons of fun with my Instax Mini I won from Let the Kids) and just having fun which is why I fell in love with photography in the first place. Here is the digital version of what’s been going on since my last post, the film version will come soon.

The kids LOVE the dogs and cats, Jaxon loves kisses from Osceola which is great because Os loves to give them.

We did Jax’s birthday photos when I took his 11 month photos it was a lot of fun even though it was super hot that day

Keeley has finally hit the barbie age…

She also had surgery on her hand to remove a cyst, she was such a trooper!

His dad being the huge Jets fan he is wanted some Jets photos, the jersey Jax has on was Drew’s when he was younger, I need to scan the photo of him in it for comparison:)

Jax’s birthday party, it was super hot which made being outside not a lot of fun but I think Jax and all the kids had fun so that’s all that mattered. Keeley even helped him eat his cupcake:)

Our weekends have consisted of a lot of this. playing in the sand, water, swing and making tents to finger paint in. and I love it

Jaxon 10 months . Gretna Va lifestyle childrens photography

I swear I blinked and here he is 10 months, furniture cruising, trying to talk, beating up on his sister and just being way to big for his britches. His hair is starting to curl up right behind his ears which I think is the cutest thing ever along with his big smile when he’s jumping in his crib. The photos of him standing in front of the door below Keeley was on the other side making faces at him, they love each other so much, I just hope that love continues when their older and he’s ripping the heads of her barbies and she’s trying to make him play dress up…

I’ve been working at my new job for a little over a month or so now and I have to say I miss being a stay at home mommy (don’t get me wrong I love my job and everyone I work with:)) I feel like I’m missing so many things so I feel like I’m taking a million more photos than normal (is that even possible?) so I can capture all of his little moments before he starts walking and then it’s all over haha. I am loving having my new 16-35mm when I’m shooting him because I feel like he can crawl close and it’s still ok, he loves having his photo taken as you can tell, except he’s not a huge fan of the instax, I think it’s because of the flash though, he’s not really used to that yet.

Speaking of the instax I can’t wait to show you all the fun I’ve been having with

Keeley’s Hello Kitty birthday . Gretna Va Childrens Photographer

When did my baby girl get to be so big? Time really does fly. Each day she is learning something new, or coming up with a new dance move, she never stops amazing me. Right now she is all about Hello Kitty so her party was all about Hello Kitty as you can tell. On her actual birthday we just did a little mini party for her, then on the weekend we had some of her friends and lots of family over to play outside on her new (to us, thank you so much to my aunt, uncle and cousins for handing this down to the kids they love it!) swing set and eat some yummy cake (the Hello Kitty cake was made by my super talented best friend Stacey who is also the kids awesome godmommy:)Keeley’s Hello Pittie dress is a custom dress by Lil Blue Boo and her skirt on her party day is by Lil Wellies, both have super cute clothes so go check them out!!

I’m excited to see what the age of 3 holds for us with Keeley <3

this is only almost a month late but better late than never. I can’t believe Jax is 9 months old! where did my little newborn go?? He’s so active and wants to be in EVERYTHING! He has 3 words he likes to say now (dada, mama and uh oh) He’s my little man <3

We got Keeley a kite since it’s been windy lately. She had a rough go with it at first so daddy helped her get it in the air.

Keeley got playdough and dress up outfits from her cousins for her birthday, she was so happy playing with it all and making us playdough sundays.

Jax is quite the mover these days, he’s furniture cruising when he can, but he’s also a super speedy crawler, which is my most of my photos come out like the one of the left. he sees the camera and bolts straight towards it. I still have Keeley’s birthday photos to go through, I feel really behind in photos but I’m trying to catch up:)

I can’t believe my baby girl is 3! It seems like yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital and getting used to being parents. I feel like I blinked and now she’s a sassy toddler who loves to draw, take photos with her camera like mommy, anything Hello Kitty and to dance. I can’t wait to see what life has in store for her and all the things she will do. I’ll have more photos up after her party on Sunday:)I’m excited about her party and I’m pretty sure she is too:)
